Ian Banks is pretty wild. William Gibson was certainly the father of cyberpunk. Phillip K Dick was great - I loved Bladerunner and you've reminded me to watch the sequel again. Great to see someone really into the genre!!! I'm a big fan of dystopian fiction too. YOung adult fiction does it pretty well. Now don't even get me started on zombie literature lol! Yeah BNW and 1984 are pretty depressing. I wrote a cyberpunk story once, but lost it. Will have to read yours!
