I used to live in Throop, near Wareham, for some three years. Never did the whole walk but did lots of exploring on the various beaches. In fact, the very first day my husband and I spent together was a walk along Ringstead Beach nr Weymouth. He was talking about fossil hunting and I was kinda like yeah yeah, whatever, and thinkking how terrible I was at finding fossils. At that moment, I looked down and found an ammonite pressed into a rock, about the size of a paperweight. I'll go get a pic after my coffee. It's still my prized possession, a memory of our relationship, and of cold, wind bitten SW England beaches, and that never say you're rubbish at anything, because if you don't say it, who knows what you might find. It truly is a beautiful part of the world and the coast path is fabulous.

I can't find any photos as back then they weren't geo tagged and we just didn't take as many without a camera phone but it was on this beach - some twenty years ago!
