Controlling people with tech? Far-fetched? Ever see "Dollhouse" Tv series season 2 (or even season 1 for that matter, but it became involuntary in season 2). The only way to stay safe was to stay away from anything not natural - i.e. anything connected to the internet, including IoT stuff. Ready for that?
