No parasite has ever mutated into something more dangerous to its host. That would be unnatural as the parasite needs a healthy host to procreate. "Science" agrees that viruses live from their hosts - i.e. they are parasitic. If that is the case, mutations would be only beneficial to the hosts compared to the original virus. So Alex is either uninformed or lying.
