We have our eye on somewhere a bit different to locate Steemhouse. ;-)

France is nice. But I'm not sure that's where I'd end up. Looking right now at countries with decent taxation laws, especially those that favor writers and publishers. I'll keep you posted. ;-)

I may actually get me to a different country altogether. Who knows. LOL Yes. Bad is bad. Very well said, Carol.

Carol, I have to say that I'm having a similar revelation about big city life. I, too, was raised in the country, always said cities were not for me. After experiencing many of them over the past year,

I agree. Georgia is the Wild West as far as court systems go. It's a money racket for the attorneys, for sure. Probably collusion with the judges. Who knows. This is one of the reasons I will never, EVER

You’re talking about the state of Georgia, right? Not the nation somewhere across the ocean? If so, you’re talking about the same state where a judge allowed grandparents to kidnap my children and withhold

Yeah, my thoughts exactly.

I sure hope to be popping in more often! Because I miss y'all, too. I think about you every Thursday, driving or not. :-)

Sadly, no. I think a lot of people are unaware of this, despite heavy media coverage in some areas.

I couldn't even bear to watch the documentaries about Vietnam, Laos, and Korea. Not to mention China. Thailand is one of the countries that at least gives lip service to ending the practice. The reason

I'm almost positive that Thailand has taken an official position against the dog meat trade, and if that's the case, I will most likely attend. I plan to contact Soi Dog and base my final decision on their

We're actually in Virginia right now, but will be heading to D.C. and Richmond on Saturday. Then to Chicago at some point. Where "way up north" are you, @solominer?

Yes, it could be an option. I also think that if Thailand is cooperating with Soi Dog on a national level, then that's a move to be rewarded by tourism support. So I haven't made a hard decision yet. I'm

@karinxxl, yes! That bus ride! That was one of the highlights of my trip, actually. It was just so nice getting to sit with you and @revisesociology and chat and hang out in person. I'm struggling with

AMEN. Truth.

Hah! Great idea...and the good news is that we actually are putting together a bit of an amateur documentary about this. We invested in a swanky 4K camera in hopes we could learn to use it and possibly

Hah! I just made an "I love NYC"post on another social media site myself. I'm in town for a week and am really excited about being here. :-)

If nothing else, perhaps we can come to you. We should have a bit of time. I really want to meet you in person!

Thank you, Carol! We'll be seeing you soon, hopefully, in Chicago. :-)

@oivas, there's a submission process. We need a query and the first five pages of your manuscript. Can you DM it to me through Discord?
