So I was having a conversation with a friend, P.S, I have a lot of cryptocurrency, financial and money conversations. So you will see my post start with that. He is a complete crypto noob, In fact he has not gotten to the stage where you can classify him a crypto noob, so having a complete crypto conversation with him is hard because I will have to define and explain most terms to him. While I was doing my crypto evangelism, I talked about how crypto is taking over fiat and paper money and also making the world go cashless. This will reduce the rate at which the world uses paper, thereby saving more trees, and helping the ecosystem. Then he asked, just as crypto is replacing money, can they be something that will replace crypto?

This struck an awareness and brought a wide view to my mind. Almost everything is relative, this means that the birth of something came from the idea of a previous creation, probably because the previous creation couldn’t solve the problem. Lots of people talk about how cryptocurrency is going to fail or go to zero, forgetting that crypto is new, its less than 20 years, you can’t compare it to the paper which was invented some where in the 17th century. You see, that was a vey long time ago and look at how people still use. For the fact that we talk about crypto and how its going to replace paper money doesn't mean its going to happen overnight. The paper has been around for over 200 years even after technology has been improved, changed and evolved, paper money didn’t get completely eradicated so why will crypto disappear over night?
Crypto is just starting, its yet to reach its full potential, people are going to continue using from now to maybe the next 50 years. The technology will keep improving, the next thing that will replace crypto will be able to solve problems that crypto can’t solve. Crypto is currently solving problems paper money can’t, which are, security, value, mobility, and transparency with the blockchain technology. Crypto has gone beyond just solving money problem and is becoming something that wants to solve the aspect of digital ownership.
People can keep trying to be in the denial and keep saying that crypto will go to zero soon, but so was said about the internet, but here we are making use of the internet like its its impossible to live without it.
