President Erdogan: I swear I will still buy S-400 missiles despite US sanctions!

@razi04 reported that Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan was inflamed as the United States boasted about the CAATSA sanctions that would be imposed if Turkey remained on its plans to buy Russia's S-400 missile system.

"The US is silent when Greece gives the S-300 missile system, but you say you will not let Turkey buy the S-400. You say that the relationship with Russia is a mistake. You said you would reward Turkey with sanctions. Turkey is not responsible and not a pawn of the United States. We will continue our rights without a concession to the US to achieve our own goals! "

Turkey's intention to buy the S-400 itself has been going on for quite some time, since 2016 and Russia announced that the contract was signed on September 12, 2017 marked by Turkey paying a down payment.

Turkey itself seems not afraid of US threats and even prepares a second contract for the S-400 which is expected to be completed by 2020. The second contract will also include technology transfer and production of local components for the Turkish defense industry.
