馃 The common redpoll or mealy redpoll (Acanthis flammea)
馃摎 Acanthis in ancient Greek. mythology daughter of Autonous and sister Acanthus; when Acanthis sobbed over the murdered Acanthus, the gods turned her into a bird.
馃摎 flammea lat.: flamma flame, fire, fiery color flammeus
Real northern birds. These birds live in the very north, mainly in the taiga and forest-tundra zone. However, with the advent of winter, they begin to roam south. Therefore, I meet them only in winter, during these wanderings.
They perch in large flocks on the tops of trees and inspect them for seeds. They especially like to gut birch sprouts. But sometimes they go down to the fields where thistles and wormwood grow, and also inspect the bottoms of the trees for the presence of seeds that have fallen from above.
The bird is easily lured to the sound if you turn on the voices of these birds on the speaker, and even flies very close to a person.
