So..
In recent weeks of September we have had very capricious weather - warm sunny days and rainy cold days are chopped and sandwiched day by day, as if they had sort of a running race. A typical spring weather, no way an Indian summer!.. Every time I happen to notice the sun through the window I decide: “Awesome weather! Up for a walk with camera and macro lens, to shoot some autumn beauties!” - and literally 5-10 minutes after the sun hides behind the clouds for an hour or two... this is completely unpredictable!
Today it happened same way: the sun was shining through the window, after breakfast I had to go to the office but thought I should walk past the chestnut trees, rustle the leaves and produce some macro masterpieces, using this good lighting. See, five or six large chestnut trees grow in the neighboring yard... Literally, I was there in 10 minutes - but of course the sun had already disappeared..
I still took the camera, and the chestnuts - they lay in abundance among the fallen leaves and on the gravel path - did not escape the fate of being captured :)
The first two frames were taken with a 50mm Sigma lens - judge for yourself how “macro” is the picture it can produce. (Minimum focusing distance is 30cm).
After these two takes, I changed 50mm to my true friend - Sigma 150mm dedicated macro lens; the captures are below.
Thanks God, Mother Nature created a chestnut!
Above is macro focus stake of three separate captures. (Assembled together with Photoshop standard tools). Clickable for UHD high-res.
...and then again the rain have started; this basically was all I shoot on this morning... But I have some more stuff, from the previous evening!
This was captured with same Sigma 150mm, but with more dim, even poor lighting, almost in the tree shade.
Grass was full of foliage, apples, acorns .... and mushrooms! I hope heaven will send me more clear sky and warm sunny weather! I miss my macro sessions so much. Indian summer with all the boisterious of colours - I waited for it all the year!
All pictures taken by me. I present some oldies today, everything you see is my evening walk with .... across a few central streets of St.Petersburg.
