Actually, I don't know how splinterlands handled what has to do with sps delegations, but it seems to me that for speed and simplicity what it does is a contract with code similar to unstake.

As far as I know, the delegation time is hardcoded into the Hive blockchain protocol, so it can't be changed because it's the minimum possible time. But I'm not 100% sure because many of the transactions

Are you sure? Because it looks like a problem with te ability or the description of the abiltiy. Being the description the only place where you can find info about how to use the ability is discouraging
