I often practice on a desktop or on my knees. I really should make a point of doing some actual drumming practice really.

Gosh that's quite some drum beat for that song. I have to be honest, I wouldn't even attempt that syncopated bass drum beat. I'd play a straight old fashioned four beat pattern as soon as the intro is

Blimey Steve, thats some pretty tricky stuff there, especially the little fills and swapping between the hi-hat and the ride. You're doing really well.
