What about standalone (none-web) windows application for steemit?

Currently Steemit network can be accessed only by web browser.
What about making windows application for accessing Steemit network? (I chose windows since it is a most widely used OS) It will be good for in case of government forced shutdown or other emergent case I guess, any thought?
