I saw a poll saying that 27% of Americans support the attack on Iran and wondered Who are these stupid people? Trump hasn’t even tried to present a coherent rationale for this war of choice to his own citizens, let alone to what used to be our strong allies. Why would Spain bend to his will?

The man is stark raving mad, and our Congress continues to do nothing to counter him. But even if they came to their senses and removed him from office, permanent damage has been done.

The United States had a good run but it’s over. We’re now the decaying corpse of a dying empire. The real tragedy is that we’re taking the rest of the world with us.
