Aha - so u mean when we sell SBD for steem, whether in internal market or on exchanges, then blockchain produces extra steems and burns the SBDs.

The picture above shows the trading volume on different exchanges. These are really low volumes. As of now I do not have idea about how much trading volume can be increased. This depends on market conditions
