Today I will discuss how using the Amplify ability will give you the upper hand from your enemy. Sometimes we forget to use this ability because the unit that has this ability usually has a weak attack, especially in the low mana battle, and we choose another unit that has greater damage. A units/summoner that have Amplify ability :
This unit above is at max level for play in Diamond league, if your league is below Diamond the Amplify ability sometimes not show up yet. It has 16 units and 1 summoner (Grandmaster Rather), some unit can't attack.
Note:
I'd play using my scholar account bltzr-wizard-710, usually in Diamond League Modern format, sometimes in Champion league if I can reach it, my card is not powerful I only have Chaos Legion, Reward Card, and 11 old cards I rent like, Doctor Blight, Ash Mirage, Dumacke Exile, etc. This strategy may only work for enemies with limited cards.
With the Amplify ability on the battlefield then all this ruleset will give greater damage of 1 to the enemy :
| Ruleset | Description |
|---|---|
| Briar Patch, all units have Thorns ability (returns 2 damage to attacker when hit by a melee attack). | |
| Counterspell, all units have Magic Reflect ability (returns 50% of magic damage to attacker, rounded up). | |
| Fire & Regret, all units have Return Fire ability (returns 50% of ranged damage to attacker, rounded up). |
In this Battle Example 1
I'm bringing Venator Kinjo to Amplify the damage from the units with Thorns ability Mycelic Morphoid and Dumacke Orc. This Strategy successfully kills Katrelba Gobson who has Bloodlust ability (every time this unit kills the enemy, all stat will increase by 1, before he has a chance to kill our unit. By default, The Thorns ability will give only 2 damage but in this battle you can see when Katrelba Gobson Hit Mycelic Morphoid it give 3 damage to Gobson, because of the Amplify ability from Venator Kinjo. Our Dumacke Orc when hit the enemy Dumacke Orc only got 1 damage from Thorns ability because it have Shield ability who reduce melee damage by half (Thorns is melee damage).
This is other Battle example 2
In this Battle only Runemancer Kye the enemy unit that got damaged from the Counterspell ruleset, the other enemy magic unit Water Caller Immune from damage because it has Reflection Shield ability. It have 3 magic damage Counterspell should only give 2 damage, but instead it give 3 because of the Amplify ability from our. This battle I win not because of the Amplify ability, but I just want to show how Amplify increase damage from Counterspell.
Rather risky to use Amplify in this ruleset cause the enemy may not use magic unit due to counterspell.
