Hi everyone it's @lizanomadsoul here introducing the Monday edition of the #TravelDigest.
Another day of great places and stories around the globe to read about! This time we have great stories from Guatemala, Mexico, India, France, Venezuela, Portugal, Bangladesh, The Philippines, Thailand, Pakistan, and Indonesia - So a little bit of everything! - Enjoy ;)
My first night was a bit rough. I was still a bit off balance, as it being my first time in central America and the area I was staying in was a bit of a favela feeling area. Most of the night I heard stray animals fighting and cats jumping on tin roofs. Beyond the noise, it was tough listening to animals fighting and potentially hurting. But I managed to get some sleep and wake up fairly early. The first thing I did when I got up was head to the roof of the home to look at the volcanos, as being at an elevated area compared to the main area of Antigua, this one of the few areas you can see them well.

What do you need to travel anywhere in the world? I don't know about you, but I always think that to climb a mountain, shoes should be good so that I don't slip and die. And yes, it is very important for me to have my phone with me while travelling, that too with 100% battery. Today I put the phone in my pocket without checking even though it was only 32% charged. Today we have to go to Sahastradhara, which is the most famous place of Dehradun for tourists and religious people. There is a temple of Shiva here, hence many people come here every day to visit the temple and for tourists because the pond built on the Sahastradhara river here is the center of attraction where tourists have a lot of fun.

Whilst the others dillied and dallied, I didn't, I got on first and grabbed the front row. Back of the net! Moving along the river on the approach to the canyon, sometimes at great speed, not only did I get the best view, but I missed all the water spray that was thrown up.I glanced around, I felt sick to the pit of my stomach, one of the group, a right limp-wristed old woman of a man had put an umbrella up and was hiding behind it.
I lost the plot."What are you doing?" "You, what are you doing?" ( I never even bothered to remember his name, nor several of the others, who I had no time for. Why bother?) A squeaky mumbled reply " I don't want to get wet" "It's 90 degrees, water won't kill you, jesus christ on a bike" The boat slowed down to admire some wildlife, well a bunch of American Crocodiles actually,
