A lot of you may have seen the Vlogs of @trevonjb. I did too and I really like him. I recently watched his vlog and he said something very important in it.

"I don't even keep up with youtube money."

Think about this for a moment. How many times have you heard about people trying to start a youtube channel? Being in school in the USA, I hear about this a lot. A lot of students are tying out youtube. A lot of it has to come from the fact that youtube is the biggest video sharing site on the internet. That is fair, however, did you ever stop to think how did it get that way?

Everyone wants to get in on the sweet youtube money.

Steemit does what youtube does but better.

I will explain why.

YouTube selects which youtube channels get money and exactly how much each view is worth. This is a very imperfect system because there algorithms aren't perfect. There curators aren't perfect. YouTube and Google are tying to guess what people will like.

In steemit people chose what people will like. The payout is directly tied to what people want. I personally believe that this is the future of internet voting. This system allows amazing quality assurance. People who post the best content will come on steemit to get the most fair payout. Youtube takes a hands on approach while steem power allows for a laissez-faire market. It is representative of what people want.

In conclusion.

The Steem network is poised to be the greatest content creation network to date. It encourages people to post the highest quality content they can and it allows for them to be rewarded fairly. This is a revolutionary concept and its network is applicable in many other places. YouTube will be usurped if the steem ecosystem reaches is potential and I am looking forward to it.
