The spike in the number of comments is due to bot accounts of Waivio.

On January 5, over 15,000 comments were posted by bot accounts of Waivio such as @xcv47, @asd09 and @hk14d.

That is strange. The node api.steemitdev.com works properly here. Did you try anyx.io or api.steem.house? Both should work.

Maybe you can try another Steem node. You can choose one at the top right of the page. Let me know the error of that didn't help.

Hi @acidyo! I have been thinking about that as well, but it is very complicated. I have not figured out a neat way to calculate this yet. It is a lot of data and processing everything takes a lot of time

Steem goes to zero if they give a market order on an exchange. There is only 1.66 million worth of STEEM buy orders on Binance.
