Hoy quiero reflexionar sobre estas cuestiones y, al final del post, te voy a dejar el porqué creo que suceden estos partidos.

Hopefully coaches would dare to play like that when there actually is something at stake, and would dare to break those structures that dominate football today. Y cómo son las cosas… Cuando jugó Argentina versus Inglaterra, por supuesto que alentaba a mi selección, pero ayer quería que ganara Inglaterra. El fútbol tiene esas cosas. Por otro lado, siento que el fútbol nos regala en ocasiones esas paradojas, donde un partido que aparentemente no importaba termina siendo muy recordado, o quizás el más recordado, por semejante espectáculo que dieron ambos equipos. Al principio te dije que te iba a dejar mi percepción sobre lo que sucede, y creo particularmente que tiene que ver con el miedo. Lo que nos mantiene vivos en nuestro día a día son los miedos vitales, pero las diferentes culturas a través del tiempo nos insertaron ese miedo en el ADN, y creo que por eso tanto los técnicos, los jugadores seleccionados e inclusive los espectadores no quieren que se arriesgue para no perder. Como que siempre jugamos con el freno de mano puesto y jugamos a no perder. Quizás se obtienen resultados, pero hay algo innegable: el espectáculo en ocasiones se vuelve monótono.
Por último, y no menos importante, me encantó sobremanera el abrazo de los jugadores franceses e ingleses. Eso es un mensaje esperanzador y me alegra mucho que haya sucedido en este Mundial.
