Kongsten Fort Fredrikstad’s historical heritage by
@hindavi
It looks like that place just got frozen in time! AMazing surrounding, and a very well-preserved building make it unique... I bet it was used for recording some movies that needed the 19th-century vibe, or some horror/thriller happening in rural England... Jack the Ripper-style... 😂
I have already prepared a screenplay for the place... 😂
Dahlia: A large flower in a small garden by
@parauri
Now I understand why my good friend's daughter was named Dahlia! Her mom probably loves this flower and decided to give her second child the same name! Thanks for the clarification, as I didn't know about it...
Btw, you took some gorgeous photos of the flower and made me curious about what it really looks like IRL...
Visiting the Desparramaderos waterfall: Nature and peasant tradition in "El Nicho" Natural Park, Cienfuegos, Cuba. [ENG] [ESP] by
@ibarra95
You’ve been on an incredible journey amidst such spectacular natural beauty. From the ‘Butterflies’ trail, a name that already means a lot to me, to that enormous waterfall which you finally plucked up the courage to climb; the views must be breathtaking. You’ve treated us to something truly amazing, and it’s definitely worth going back, both to enjoy the natural surroundings and to sample the local cuisine. Visiting those artisan restaurants was the best choice. You’ve had some unique moments, and that makes me so happy; plus, you went with your brother- there’s no better company!!
Another owl for my collection of keychain (Esp/Eng) by
@equipodelta
You’re building up quite a collection, and this owl in particular is absolutely adorable. What’s more, the colour combination you’ve chosen is very elegant; the colours complement each other rather than clash, although contrasting colours aren’t bad either, like green and red, or purple and yellow. It’s true that when you do the eyes, the piece really comes to life; that happens to me when I paint faces; it’s almost the first thing I do.
Stay patient with the power cuts; I know they’re a bit of a pain and can really get you down.
The Power of Music by
@mandragora88
I believe that if someone can imagine something, it already exists on some level, as if that thought came from somewhere else; so I think it is possible to paint music, in fact, you’re proving it. I see a fusion of instruments, intermingling to create art and manifest themselves. To dare to imagine is to dare to be the creator of whatever it may be.
It’s a beautiful piece, full of colour and high vibrations.
Anuncios de televisión // TV advertisements by
@enraizar
What a fabulous post on adverts from a bygone era. Each one is lovelier than the next, and most importantly, it’s the messages they convey, particularly the Christmas adverts, whatever the product may be, although I really liked the one for El Almendro. The first video gave me an idea of what adverts were like here in Spain, and the Christmas carol featuring the dolls is charming.
There are several things they have in common that I’d like to highlight: one is the point you mention; they show what society was like at the time and adapt to that society when they’re reworked, and another is the artistry in them, like little short films. That last bit is brilliant, thank you so much! And the first part of the post was spectacular; I thought you were trying to sell us something 😆
