Yeah, it's a shame that they don't build more fresh water diversions from the Mississippi River, the sediment builds land 24/7 for free, the beauty of nature

That didn't make any sense to me, bc of this pass the River is getting shallower down river, yet they need the sediment to rebuild the wetlands that have eroded away. Just dredge the shallow parts to rebuild

They are talking about that, but just bc they fear effects from closing it too fast, other waterways might change.
