A much-awaited pre-sale for Splinterlands new – and completely separate – game is going live today, in approximately 3.5 hours from now.
You can read all the details and requirement of participating in the pre-sale here in this official FAQ.
Here’s the gist of it, however:
- DEC or CREDIT are the only accepted currencies in this pre-sale
- 1,000 DEC is equal to USD $1, even though the market price of 1k DEC might be lower
- One deck of cards in this pre-sale costs $5 (or 5,000 DEC), but you also need a voucher for each deck you buy, including the bonus decks
- For example, buying over 100 decks will give you 10% bonus decks – and even larger bonuses, if you buy over 500 and over 2,000 decks respectively:
It means that if you are buying 110 decks for 550,000 DEC, you need to have 121 vouchers ready – not 110! – because your vouchers have to cover both the decks you are paying for and the decks you are receiving for free as a bonus.
- For example, buying over 100 decks will give you 10% bonus decks – and even larger bonuses, if you buy over 500 and over 2,000 decks respectively:
- Both DEC (or CREDITS) and your VOUCHERS must be in your in-game inventory, not on Hive Engine!
You can find the pre-sale for the Tower Defense game in its special tab in the shop section of the website:
It features a countdown until the pre-sale goes live, at 20:00 UTC today
A normal price for a deck during public sale will be set at USD $8 without a voucher – or at USD $5 with a voucher. By participating in the pre-sale you are basically buying a value of $8 for something like $5.25 (this calculation is based on the current market price of DEC and vouchers). A pretty great ROI, if you ask me. Plus, you can earn more, if you intend to play the game, once it’s released.
Good luck to everyone who is planning to participate in the pre-sale! Be there early, it might go very quickly. Only 250,000 packs will be sold as part of the pre-sale, including the bonus packs, so you will want to place your order as soon as it goes live.
