With proper investigation and imagining of locations or place where extraterrestrial life could potentially dwell, not much place could be investigated. Over thousands of years, man has taken an imaginary view of the mars to be a home for the human being. Series of missions have been carried out to determine the probability of such an evolution on the red planet. But how is life likely to exist on this mars?
A HABITABLE ENVIRONMENT
During the process of searching for life on mars, most astrobiologists came to conclusion and agreed that water is key. This must have brought forth a problem because the palnet is dry and barren, and most of its water is locked up. (
polar ice caps). Terrestial life requires water in all form.
Scientist spotted that, some years ago, there must have been a flow of water across the surface in rivers and streams, because the Mars wasn't always a desolate wasteland as we may think, and the vast ocean also covers the planet. But over time, the water that flowed across the surface, was lost into space.
It's now known to be possible that liquid water flows on a modern Mars, either on the beneath or the surface. The debates still persist till today if the features known as (RSLs) recurring slope lineae was formed from a running sand or ongoing water. The slopes are more like what we should be expecting from dry sand, but we all have the thought of RSL as possible liquid water flows. A U.S. Geological Survey's Astrogeology made a statement, which was.
THIS NEW UNDERSTANDING OF RSL SUPPORTS OTHER EVIDENCE THAT SHOWS THAT MARS TODAY IS VERY DRY.
TINY UFOs
Billions of years ago, we received a visitor from Mars. Rocks which has blown from the red planet.has bombarded our own planet. Among the few bodies in the solar system, the scientist could have sampled. And brought about that among the 34 Martian meteorites, scientists have been able to determined that 3 have the potential to carry a prove that life onced exsist on Mars. The Martian rock which contained structures that is similar to the fossilized remains of bacteria-like lifeforms. Andrew Steele, a microbiologist said
Mars apparently has had organic carbon chemistry for a long time
Scientist came with another discovery, which they found a structure that looks like a fossilized nanobacteria on the Nakhla meteorite, as a result of a chunk of Mars that landed in Egypt. Further investigation and examination of the spherical structure called an ovoid, reavealed that it was from through an higer processes other than life. And based on the available data that the scientist could obtained on the nature of this conspicuous structure(ovoid) in Nakhla, they concluded that the most reasonable explanation for the particular observation on its origin is that it formed through abiotic processes.( physical, not biological)
With all of these samples, there's hints of the possibility that there was life in the early history of the red planet.
ARE WE THE MARTIANS?
Due to the materials that was transfered to Earth from Mars, this has led to a debate debate about the possibility of contamination in the history of life. different scientist argued about this- that a meteorite from Earth could have traveled to Mars or that a meteorite from Mars could have traveled to Earth.
But in the aspect of the RED PLANET, there is every tendency that scientists might one day find life on Mars, and it could be a close relation.
If life is found on another planet, will it be related to us or seen as alien? And who must ahve spawned it? These questions cannot be answered now, but they arenot far fetched as we may think.
