Yesterday, I came to my hometown Podgorica.
Today is my brother's birthday and we have spent beautiful day.He is 16 now and I got some thinking about period when I was 16.I mean it wasn't so long ago, only 4 years.. but it seems to me like every little thing is changing so fast. And time is running just like river is flowing.
Well, I will share my thoughts about time maybe next time.But this post is about one wonder of nature I like and the one I have missed.
Lake Skadar.
It is the largest lake on the Balkans and it is placed two-thirds in Montenegro and one-third in Albania and I have never seen their coast. It is named after an Albanian small town, Skadar.
The Montenegrin part of the lake and its surrounding area are declared a national park, one of 5 national parks in Montenegro.
It is located between the mountains and 7km far from the Adriatic sea.
It is one of the largest bird reserves in Europe.Having over 250 bird species, among which are some last pelicans in Europe.
Also, of the 34 native fish species, 7 are endemic to Skadar Lake.
In this region here are 20 monasteries, churches, villages, fortresses and sacred monuments.
Yesterday I was at a restaurant on the lakeside from which you have perfect view.
You can enjoy drinking your favorite drink, I'd recommend wine made by Montenegro's largest wine company called Plantaže.
Talking to your favourite person or silently observing, either way you will feel positive vibes coming to every inch of your body.
