This morning I came across this great article which details a hundred year old to-do list method that apparently works like a charm. Here is the gist of the method [1]:
1. At the end of each day, write down six things you want to do tomorrow (just six)
2. Order the six tasks by priority
3. The next day only work on the first task, do not go on to the second until the first is done
4. Complete the following tasks in a similar manner, if you have tasks that are still unfinished put them on a new list of six for tomorrow
5. Repeat this everyday
