Looks like AI hasn't been to the farm before because that contraption, makes no sense.
The GPS isn't a requirement. Can easily get by without it. There's always a way. But it does make operating that equipment a lot easier and contributes to efficiency. The GPS and large equipment is also used on something like a certified organic crop, including planting something like sweet clover which is meant to be worked into the soil, instead of using fertilizers.
