After nearly fourteen years of operation, Gawker.com will be shutting down next week. Successful bids by Univision for the company from have not yet helped preventing the shutdown.
The bid by Univision is still pending because it still has to go through the bankruptcy court in Manhattan.
Near-term plans for Gawker.com’s coverage, as well as the site’s archives, have not yet been finalized.
