Después de mucho tiempo sin escribir, hoy regreso con la reseña de esta figura de la colección vintage de Star Wars. El personaje que representa esta figura, lo vemos en Rogue One: A Star Wars Story. La cual ha sido para mí una de las mejores películas de la era Disney. La película tiene una fuerte conexión con la trilogía original. Esto ayudó a que muchos fanáticos apreciáramos la película, claro, tomando en cuenta también, que presenta personajes totalmente excelentes.
After a long time without writing, I return with a review of this figure from the vintage Star Wars collection. We see the character that represents this figure in Rogue One: A Star Wars Story. For me, this has been one of the best movies of the Disney era. The movie has a solid connection to the original trilogy. This helped many fans appreciate the film, of course, also considering that it features excellent characters.
Uno de los personajes que más llama la atención de todos en Rogue One, es K-2SO. Un droide de protocolo usado por el Imperio Galáctico que fue reprogramado por la rebelión y sirvió para robar los planos de la Estrella de la Muerte. Hoy les presento la figura de este gran personaje. La figura fue creada por Hasbro, salió a la venta en el 2020 y me costó aproximadamente unos 15 dólares.
One character that catches everyone's attention in Rogue One is K-2SO. A protocol droid was used by the Galactic Empire that was reprogrammed by the rebellion and served to steal the Death Star plans. Today I present to you the figure of this great character. The figure was created by Hasbro, went on sale in 2020, and cost me approximately $15.
Empezando por el empaque, vemos que en la parte frontal está la leyenda de Star Wars y de la película a la que pertenece, en este caso Rogue One. El nombre lo encontramos con un verde claro y letras blancas, y de fondo una bonita litografía de este droide. Evidentemente, tenemos la burbuja plástica y en el interior la figura. En la parte frontal, están las imagenes de las figuras que salieron en la misma oleada, en la parte superior se indica que es la figura número 170 y abajo el logo de The Vintage Collecion.
Starting with the packaging, we see that on the front is the legend of Star Wars and the film to which it belongs, in this case, Rogue One. We find the name with light green and white letters and excellent lithography of this droid in the background. Obviously, we have the plastic bubble inside the figure. On the front are images of the figures that came out in the same wave. At the top, it is indicated that it is figure number 170 and below the logo of The Vintage Collection.
Con respecto al esculpido y la pintura, Hasbro creó una escultura maravillosa. Esta figura es idéntica al personaje en pantalla. Las crestas, las líneas, las formas y los detalles son asombrosos. La pintura es excelente en general, pero creo que aún se puede aplicar con más precisión, sobre todo los añadidos que aparentan ser óxido o desgaste.
Concerning sculpting and painting, Hasbro created a fantastic sculpture. This figure is identical to the character on screen. The ridges, lines, shapes, and details are fantastic. The paint is excellent overall, but I think it could still be applied more accurately, especially the additions that appear to be rust or wear and tear.
K-2SO cuenta con una articulación de cabeza muy buena, que incluye una cabeza esférica y un cuello esférico invertido. Este enfoque permite que el personaje mire hacia abajo y alrededor, así como girar la cabeza. El margen del movimiento aquí, solo en la escultura de la cabeza, es asombrosa. Presenta articulación de bola completa en los hombros y en la cadera. Tiene articulación de bola en los codos, en las muñecas, en las rodillas y en los tobillos. Esto nos da un amplio rango de movimiento en la parte superior e inferior. K-2SO tiene un excelente centro de gravedad y puede mantenerse de pie sin ayuda. K-2SO features great head articulation, including a spherical head and an inverted spherical neck. This approach allows the character to look down and around and rotate the head. The range of motion here, in the head, sculpt alone, is impressive. It features full ball articulation at the shoulders and hips. It has a ball joint at the elbows, at the wrists, at the knees, and at the ankles. This gives us a wide range of motion at the top and bottom. K-2SO has an excellent center of gravity and can stand unaided. The figure can stand upright in action poses.
Sobre los accesorios, esta figura cuenta con una pistola bláster. Ambas manos pueden sostener la pistola sin problema alguno. Los detalles de la pistola realmente son nulos, simplemente se pintó de un solo color y hasta ahí. De hecho, el plástico es muy flexible, al igual que el plástico utilizado en la figura. En cierta forma parece que se va a romper cuando quieres montarle la pistola o intentas doblar las articulaciones. De ahí en fuera considero que es una buena figura, le doy un 8.5 de 10. No dudes en tenerla en tu colección. Es una buena adición.
About the accessories, this figure has a blaster pistol. Both hands can hold the gun without any problem. The details of the pistol are really nil, it was simply painted in one color, and that's it. In fact, the plastic is very flexible, just like the plastic used in the figure. It looks like it will break when you want to mount the gun or try to bend the joints. From there on, I consider it a good figure. I give it an 8.5 out of 10. Do not hesitate to have it in your collection. It is a good addition.
