Hm really?
I generate $1000 for the chain.
I'm paid $750 for the work I've done.
I withdraw $750 from the chain.
The chain is up $250.
I have $0 on the chain.
You're going to tell me that's not an acceptable answer?
I meant a real proof. Show me one account, that has generated more value than they have taken out from the chain. And the example you gave is what I said on my previous post regarding corporations.
But we are here in Hive and value of your work is measured as your author reward so by that metric you can never generate value for chain to be up in value. Basically invalidating your proof.
(KE measures Author and Curation rewards, I am simplifying here.)
Author reward generates 1000$ Value.
You get paid 1000$ Value.
You withdraw 1000$ Value.
Chain is up 0$ in value.
You have 0$ on chain.
(If we ignore the cost of storing your data, if we include that then chain is actually in negative value. But this cost is negligible.)
Only way for chain to gain value is for some people to have less than 1 KE ratio. (In this simplified scenario, because 1000/0 is undefined. In actuality chain would be up some amount, since you have to have staked hive to actually have a KE ratio. But value you provide is less than someone who has lower KE ratio than you do. In this case if I sent the curation reward to some user with 1.5 KE ratio that user would have provided more value than an user with 30 KE ratio.)
Another note: KE measures how many VESTS the user powered down, not how much of their rewards they sold. They can still sell the HBD for example without affecting their KE ratio.
Right because you're coming at it from a position of blog posts being rewarded more than they are worth to the network (and thus requiring damage control)
This isn't true, because I don't have a problem with people getting more stake with their blog posts and if you are getting more stake with blog posts your KE would be 1 anyway.
Like you have personal stake in the topic for some reason.
All of us have a personal stake on this, as investors on the chain.
Like what happens if I start getting downvotes because someone decides that I'm not allowed to upvote an account with 30 KE ratio? Sounds stupid but it's not even a stretch on this platform.
It should be used as a tool for curation, not one for policing. But dumb people would be dumb, so it could happen can't argue against that.
