RE: SketchTravel in Japan, 2019
Thanks @carlgnash! I was pretty much blown away at each new place we visited. Amazing mix of super modern with ancient cultural styles. This is the first trip I've taken since Greece, so have been dry

You're welcome @trincowski. I find Tokyo rather overwhelming, though it is full of amazing places. I went to TeamLab the last day. Have you seen that? It's a crazy visual experience.

@veryspider I like your description! I agree it does feel like a summer path, maybe breezy and movement in the trees. Playful, not heavy. Thanks for your thoughts. I am just sketching it out on canvas

Thank you @aalagenesis. Color palettes are often a challenge. I tend to like more subdued colors for doing paintings, but I'm trying to brighten it up a bit. When I see a palette I like, I try to take

Thank you @veryspider. I like your description of it. That is what aimed for - allowing your eye to bounce around in a playful way. There is just a hint of perspective here and there, so you aren't lead

All was good at the end, for sure. Actually that was the best part of the trip because we had to make it up then, and there is a sense of freedom and adventure in that. Glad you like the post @delishtreats.

RE: SketchTravel in Mexico
Thank you @veryspider. I love Mexico. The beaches, the colonial culture, the fantastic Mayan ruins, the climate. Not having a hotel room was kind of unsettling, but I've always wanted to take a trip unscripted
