An informative post for all my fellow Steemers! How often should you be posting is one question that has been on the tip of your lips, I can feel it!
Well after much research into those who seem to perform well - I am not one of them! :) But, maybe I will be once I adopt this strategy.
Three Posts A Day
The verdict is in 3 posts a day is how often you should be posting. You should also be posting these articles approximately 2 to 3 hours a art. By all accounts this seems to be the Steemit Author strategy at the moment.
Why do I think this is the lucky number. Well, all good things happen in threes right?
Not quite, I think this is generally the amount of quality content that can come from one person if dedicating many hours to writing and compiling great content.
Second, I believe you can have Author overload.
One Thousand Is The Magic Number
If you have ever been blogging long enough or understand how content is ranked within Google. Google generally will look for quality content of 1000 words +
There seems to be no difference here. All great performing posts seem to hit this magic number and easily or at least come close to it.
Occasionally there is exceptions to the rule. But, generally speaking if you are writing 1000 words....well you have to be saying something worth while...right?
Lets dig a little further...What about the content?
Is it interesting? Does it enlighten? Am I better for reading it?
This are the questions that you need to be asking. The majority of high performing posts inform people of something they are going to be interested in. If you will notice..and I am sure you have noticed alot of the heavily favoured articles are well Steem focussed. Not surprising there, we are all on this platform and we want to be educated about it and therefore it is extremely topical. Will this last...no it will soon enough get old.
Next up is a number of the top articles are thought provoking. They actually get you thinking, this is generally speaking the kind of posts most people want to read. Ask yourself this....once you finish writing, is this something I would read? If it is, then great you have done an excellent job..there will be someone else out there who will gain something from it!
I hear you saying that doesn't exactly help me understand what to write.
Perfect, well maybe that is what you should be writing about! But go back to basics, you have a voice and you have many thoughts. Share them with the world they are probably insanely interesting and put your own unique spin on what you are witnessing in the world! People love people. So show us who you are in your writing.
All the top writers on here do that perfectly every single time. They have their own unique style and they work it well!
At 500 words I'm signing off for the day...and when you have nothing interesting left to say. I suggest we all do the same :)
