Rename your eevee before hitting the evolve button to evolve eevee into one of the 3 pokémons:
Jolteon – give nickname Sparky
Vaporeon – give the nickname Rainer
Flareon – give the nickname Pyro
Extra xp
You can get extra xp by doing the following.
During capture you can do one of the 2 (doing both will only give you 10xp extra)
Spin your pokeball and throw it to capture your pokémon will net you 10xp extra
Throw your pokeball inside the colored ring indicator will give you 10xp
Capture a new type of pokémon will yield a lot of xp ofcourse.
Don't get rid of your low lvl caterpie or pidgey.
It only takes 12 candies to evolve them. Have an army of caterpies and pidgeys ready. Use your lucky egg to double the xp and hit that evolve button. You'll get 1000xp for each pokeémon you evolve.
Get Pikachu As Your Starter Pokemon
As you start the game and see Bulbasaur, Charmander, and Squirtle surround you, ignore them. Walk away from the area and wait for them to relocate to your position a couple of times. They’ll eventually appear with a fourth one in the mix: Pikachu.
Recover missed pokeballs
Simply tap on the ball if it's still on the ground when you missed to retrieve your pokeballs
