Unbiblical Christmas.
I often wonder, what inspired the marking of Christmas, because the bible never mentioned the word Christmas, the bible also never stated that Jesus was born on December 25th. The Bible made us to understand in Luke chapter 2 verse 8, that "the night Jesus was born, there were shepherds in the field nearby, guarding their flocks of sheep." First of all, I want us to understand that shepherds cannot bring out their sheep during December, because it is the coldest of all 4 seasons and the sheep cannot survive the cold, even the shepherds themselves cannot stand such cold night for long. Meaning, both the shepherds and the sheep cannot stand the winter night.
Also, the cold period shepherds brings out their sheep is around April or May. In that cold season, sheep can withstand the weather. Another reason to buttress my point is, December 25th is the day the Romans set aside to worship "the birth of the sun." The calls this day saturnalia. On this day, exchange of gifts are made during the festival. It is quite unfortunate that modern day Christians who do not know how or why Christmas was set out to be the same day the Romans worshipper of the sun set to worship the sun engage in this activity under the disguise of celebrating the birth of Christ. However, this celebration of the sun has been in existence even before the celebration of Christmas was founded.
