Haha yeah just noticed it's gone up again. I'm rich!!

Although I almost bankrupted myself going Hokkaido so I guess it's break even now.

Hokkaido is so lovely with or without skiing. You can even go on an icebreaker ship cruise on the north side! But just to experience the winter wonderland feel of things, with public services built to accommodate it, is worth a trip in and of itself. Some of the train rides along the snowy coast were the prettiest fantastical journeys I've ever taken! (And they were just regular trains for commuters, not some tourism thing)
