Hi dear friends,

Firstly, let me talk about the warm embrace I received from you all. It truly boosted my morale. While writing my introductory message, I felt overwhelmed and somewhat timid, especially because it was my first time posting on the platform. It took me quite a while before I finally gathered the courage to click the “Publish” button.

However, your welcoming hearts, encouraging words, and warm reception lifted the burden of fear and uncertainty from my shoulders. The kindness and acceptance I received reassured me that I had made the right decision by sharing my thoughts with this community.

I would also like to express my gratitude for the valuable advice, encouragement, and votes many of you offered. Your support means more to me than words can adequately express. Thank you.

Today, I would like to share what inspired my reflective writing journey.

I forgot to mention in my introduction that I am a Christian, and I am proud to be one. However, this is not a discussion about religion itself; rather, it is about how my Christian walk has significantly influenced and shaped my writing journey.

My interest in writing began in 2021 when I was baptized in the Holy Spirit during a youth gathering one evening. The encounter was profound and life-changing. It ignited within me an intense desire to know God more deeply and to understand the principles of my faith beyond a superficial level.

As a result, I developed a strong reading habit. I immersed myself in books such as Good Morning, Holy Spirit by Benny Hinn, Spirit-Controlled Temperament by Tim LaHaye, Evangelism by Fire by Reinhard Bonnke, alongside many other Christian books and, most importantly, the Bible.

There is a saying that goes, “A good writer is a good reader.” Although I did not fully understand the wisdom behind that statement at the time, I unknowingly began applying it. As I read, I developed the habit of writing down lessons, revelations, questions, and reflections in small notebooks. Over time, those notebooks evolved into journals dedicated to preserving my thoughts and discoveries.

Sometimes, inspiration came through personal study. At other times, it came through dreams, visions, sermons, conversations, and moments of quiet reflection. I also valued fellowship with other believers because I did not want to miss any opportunity to learn, grow, and gain fresh perspectives.

I strongly believe in the biblical principle that “iron sharpens iron.” My growth was not shaped solely by spiritual knowledge. It was also influenced by logical reasoning, personal experiences, observation, and the wisdom of others. Each of these contributed to the way I began to think and write.

As my reading increased, I encountered ideas and concepts that seemed confusing at first. Rather than ignoring them, I wrestled with them. I asked questions. I searched for answers. I reflected deeply. Unknown to me, this process was developing my ability to think critically and examine life beyond surface-level conclusions.

Soon, I found myself writing about almost everything. I questioned assumptions, explored ideas, documented observations, and reflected on experiences. Writing became more than a hobby; it became a means of understanding both myself and the world around me.

Through this practice, I gradually became capable of expressing thoughts that many people might consider unusual, complex, or difficult to articulate. My journals became a private space where curiosity met reflection and where questions often mattered as much as answers.

Despite years of writing, I never shared my thoughts publicly with anyone.

That changed in 2024.

In 2024, I lost my dad.

His death shook me in ways I could never have imagined. Something within me broke. The certainty I once held seemed to crumble, and the passion and hunger that had fueled my pursuit of God and knowledge began to fade. I felt abandoned, confused, and wounded by circumstances I could neither understand nor control.

For the first time in my life, I found myself drifting away from the path I had always known. The grief was overwhelming, and I began wandering down roads that led me further away from the person I once was.

It was in that season that I encountered my greatest challenge.

The very thing I feared most became my reality.
And that is a story for another day.
I will continue tomorrow.
Thank you for reading.
Happy New Month.
