How are we gonna encourage steemians to let the community grow?
In my last post I talked about the fact that I think we have to make the community grow.
But the next question is going to be, how are we going to encourage steemians to let the community grow?
This is not the most difficult question in the world and there is a very easy fix for this.
Has anyone of you ever heard of a referral bonus?
A referral bonus is basically a bonus you get whenever someone signs up with the personal link that you send to the new user. Sometimes there is more required to get the bonus, for example, a minimum amount of posts. This would be a good solution.
In an example, you as steemian tell your friends about it and 3 friends sign up to use Steem trough your personal link.
Let say you get a fixed amount of steempower for every sign-up and then you get 10% of their first 10 posts, just to make sure you will add quality content creators.
You get paid out in SteemPower so it will go back to the blockchain and it is not possible to do a quick cashout. This way you can grow in steempower and have more curation rewards. Also, your vote will influence the post of your friend more wich will encourage them more to post, this will keep the new people more engaged with the platform.
Input and opinion
So this was more of a rant than anything else I think but maybe some ideas come to life trough this. There are probably more Steemians that think the same so please let me hear from you and give me an Upvote or resteem if you agree.
