ok. The only problem that I have seen with tyres comes from moving plants afterwards, it's difficult to get the roots out without damaging everything

Most seedlings can cope with cold overnight temperatures, as long as it isn't prolonged enough to freeze their sap or cells. The real trigger for good growth is the increase in light levels and day length

Those get so big, they are rightly called tree-aloes. Try and put it outside in the sun as much as possible, in a large pot of fast-draining mix

Beautiful! Some of those look familiar to me but sedums tend to get very sunburned here so we don't grow them outside much unless there is only a little morning sun

We also had spring come a month early in the Southern Hemisphere. I was still digging up my soil and sieving all the rubbish and rubble from it or I would have started my crops earlier. I sowed spinach
