Literature is one of the subjects that has given me joy both in high school and at university. Luckily for me, all the teachers that have been teaching me literature have been nice and good, and I enjoy their teaching and every literature class that I attend. Literature class has always been fun and lively, as two or three students in the classroom will be called upon by our literature teacher to read literature textbooks or novels, and it's always fun because we the students always cooperate and read happily.
Literature was discussed by different literature scholars, and everyone of them explained literature according to their own perspective. Literature is an imaginative work that depicts human life in a society in a way that society can enjoy, understand, and use. It is also a social expression, a reflection of life, and the interpretation of human expressions that help us understand how to live.
Literature scholar Terry Eagleton depicts literature as an extraordinary expression of everyday speech into unique resonance, rhythm, and texture.
Literature is an interesting subject that I love learning. As we all know, we never stop learning, no matter what stage we get to. That's why I said I loved learning it because I will continue to learn literature forever.
If I were to be a teacher in a school, I would gladly teach literature.
Why this particular subject?
Studying literature has helped me develop my writing skills and given me a better understanding of cultures and a greater appreciation for them. Whenever I read literature, my brain stays active, and I am able to create imagination from it, which promotes creative thinking and innovation.
Studying literature I have the opportunity to expand my vocabulary because there are times I come across new words when reading a literature book, and the best I can do at that moment is look up the meaning and then write down the new words that I learn in my notebook.

The fact that I know the benefit of studying literature and love literature will make me the best teacher to my literature students, as I will be able to impart relevant knowledge to them and make them aware of the benefit of studying literature, which I have outlined at the beginning of my writing.
When teaching them, I will let them know the importance of reading good literary books so that they will cultivate the habit of reading because most students claim they are literature students but they don't read literary books.
Literature class is fun when the teacher is nice and sweet to the students. So, when I teach literature as a subject, I will be friendly to my students, and that will make them assimilate things faster and be eager to come to the next class after the one they attend because they will enjoy the lectures.
As we all know, literature entertains. It will be fun to be teaching and having fun at the same time with my students. There are some books that are funny to read, and a person will definitely laugh out loud when reading these books. Some of the literary books' characters, story setting, and the language that is being used make them entertaining.
In conclusion, As a literature teacher I will be able to impact to my students how to develop community pride and respect for other cultures because it’s one of the benefit of studying literature.
