RE: "Your Son Is Better Off Dead Than Gay": A Steemian's Defense Of Sharia Law
I think it ought to be made clear that being a homosexual, as in, having sexual feelings for a member of the same sex, is not in of itself a punishable offense in the Shariah. Zina, or sex outside of marriage

Did you read the article I linked? It essentially talks about the circumstances under which the hudud punishments were applicable in Islamic law, and shows how it was incredibly difficult for any of them

RE: Eight Reasons to get your rear up in the morning and Exercise!
I've never been under any illusions regarding the benefits of working out (as well as the benefits of doing things in the morning), but my issue is consistency. How can you keep yourself working out early,

RE: Pay up or go to hell
Man, you're right to be angry at the people who hypocritically use religion to increase their wealth or sever the ties of kinship, but not all religion is like that. After I became Muslim my bond with

We're not that bad, dude. Sit down with a Muslim (in real life) and talk to them and you'll soon realize that in fact, we don't want to kill all of you. Most of us just want to live a good life with our

RE: Most Common Superstitions - "Black Cat Passing your Way" - The Truth and Logics. (PartI)
I find superstition to be antithetical to religion, and to call it a religious belief is to belittle religion. One rests upon ideas brought through scripture, which, although supernatural, follows its

RE: Free will and Morality - How can you have one without the other?
Well, just as in Christianity, there has been a considerable debate within Islam regarding determinism vs. free will. There is consensus among Muslims that Allah is in control of everything (Qadr) , as

Ah, thanks for that. I was a bit confused because if I was receiving interest from it, I wasn't entirely sure who I would be loaning it to. It sounds to me more like dividends from owning shares than interest

RE: The marriage series. Protect your marriage from third parties.
Very good points made here. I think in modern times people think infidelity is only a physical act, but emotional infidelity is what truly kills relationships. When a man goes to women other than his wife

I'm not sure if that metaphor holds true if the painter did not paint the gesture, but only the man. Paint generally doesn't do much moving other than dripping, but you get the point. God created us (something

Oh great, that makes it simple! When would interest payments get made? Is it on a monthly basis? Or do you have to be pretty vigilant to transfer your funds into steem power asap?

Ooops, I confused the words! Meant to say omniscience, not omnipotence. I'd generally agree with what you had to say in your post, but I've always thought that for God to be all-powerful, he must exist
