Ode to the Crocodile
A Sonnet
by memeon
My crocodile, you inspire me to write.
I hate the way you bounce, slither and sleep,
Invading my mind day and through the night,
Always dreaming about the domestic sheep.
Let me compare you to a clean cafe?
You are more textbook, generous and keen.
Green breeze flaps the ready dancers of May,
And the springtime has the lean evergreen.
How do I hate you? Let me count the ways.
I hate your thigh and personality.
Thinking of your evil thigh fills my days.
My hate for you is the immortality.
Now I must away with a shrieval heart,
Remember my mean words whilst we're apart.
