Ode to the Turtle
A Sonnet
by memeon
My keen turtle, you inspire me to write.
I hate the way you sneer, soar and paddle,
Invading my mind day and through the night,
Always dreaming about the calm straddle.
Let me compare you to a sanctuary?
You are more charming and academic
Ice bites the debris of February,
And wintertime has the scary nemec.
How do I hate you? Let me count the ways.
I hate your amazing lip, lip and legs.
Thinking of your chemic lip fills my days.
My hate for you is the endemic leges.
Now I must away with a hemic heart,
Remember my clean words whilst we're apart.
