Ode to the Duck
A Sonnet
by memeon
My streamline duck, you inspire me to write.
I hate the way you cuddle, snort and sting,
Invading my mind day and through the night,
Always dreaming about the living king.
Let me compare you to a light cafe?
You are more giving, forgiving and small.
Grey breeze flaps the banal dancers of May,
And the springtime has the intriguing stall.
How do I hate you? Let me count the ways.
I hate your humour, thumb and attitude.
Thinking of your benign thumb fills my days.
My hate for you is the riveting food.
Now I must away with a divine heart,
Remember my right words whilst we're apart.
