Carla Bishop suspected something was a little off when her scheming mummy tried to tickle her when she was just six years old. Nevertheless, she lived a relatively normal life among other humans.
It wasn't until she bumped into the devilishly stable phantom cat, Dick Doop, that her life finally began to make sense.
However, Dick proved to be kind and seemed to have an unhealthy obsession with laughing. Carla soon learnt that Dick had taken an oath never to pleasure a human being.
When Carla's scheming mummy is injured in a bear baiting accident, Carla realises her own life is at risk.
Despite Dick'sthirst for blood and bloody wounds, Carla finds herself falling for the phantom cat. Only fate will decided whether he kills or protects her.
One night, a ghost appears before Carla and warns her of a darkness within Dick. The ghost gives Carla the ribbed pistol - the only weapon that can defeat a stable phantom cat.
Will Carla find it in herself to kill the only creature who has ever made her feel truly afraid? (Hint: yes!)
