Ode to the Ant
A Sonnet
by memeon
My intense ant, you inspire me to write.
How I hate the way you hide, swim and walk,
Invading my mind day and through the night,
Always dreaming about the soft sidewalk.
Let me compare you to a plump buffoon?
You are more quiet, daily and scaly.
Hot sun heats the scaley peaches of June,
And summertime has the revered kaley.
How do I hate you? Let me count the ways.
I hate your powerful smile, smile and style.
Thinking of your profound smile fills my days.
My hate for you is the cogent restyle.
Now I must away with a scabrous heart,
Remember my weird words whilst we're apart.
