I've invested soo much time and money in flyfishing that even the smallest smallmouth fish is a win for me. When I started, it was always about catching something big but now that I have caught hundreds of big fish its got to the point that I enjoy setting up a four weight rod most of the time to fly fish these little guys.

This little guy is a baby catfish (hand caught). He was left behind in a puddle when it went to low tide.

Of course, little bugs can be cute. This damselfly hovering over the water is a clue to what the fish are feasting on at the moment. Fly fishing is about matching the hatch you take a moment look around and see what is flying above the water or turn over a rock that's under the water to see what nympth you should be using.

A Blue Head Chub a native to North America. This is another excellent fish to catch on a fly rod. As always all my fish are catch and release.

Not sure how this will post as it's being posted from my smartphone @esteem app. All pictures were either taken from my iPhone or GoPro. I don't dare take DSLR near the water 😝
