Here is my entry for @juliank photography contest. I was on a hike with my family and snapped this picture of some moss growing on a dead log. I love how nature uses dead things to help new life grow.

My family took a trip to Ely, Nevada to ride the Polar Express. My kids enjoyed the trip so much, they didn't stop talking about it on the 6 hour drive back home the day after the train ride.

Here is a view from Hawk Mountain, PA. I grew up in this area and went back home to visit my family this summer. This is the corn/dairy farming area of PA and you can see the small communities in the distance.
