welcome to hive. depending if you join a national/language identity community or a community based on hobbies there are a number of communities... it depends what you like to post about....
also hive is just the blockchain and there are many frontends to it... so its totally up to you if you want to use hive over hive.blog or peakd.com or esteem any other frontend... not sure if that is what you meant with layouts? depending what frontend you use you will have a different number of tools to style your tests as well (or you just manually style them using square corner and round braket commands)
diary about quarantine seems to be quite a thing now. check out otehr people who post about their quarantine life and see what tags and communities they use...
