Hello to all the friends of @Holos-lotus!
Reading the posts that have commented on initiative #5 in Irirs's Stuff iriswrite@iriswrite, I've been excited to share some of my experiences with you.

I believe that indeed, in one way or another, we are all victims of those goblins who get up to their tricks if we're not attentive. Bad habits that become routine, mechanical responses to certain stimuli, awkward forgetfulness, etc., the list could be long.

In my case, I generally pay a lot of attention to my surroundings, but the goblin assigned to me takes it upon himself to steal my memory, dates, and names. So I've had to adopt the habit of doing things in the moment because if I leave it for "later"... there it is.

Living with my elderly parents makes it a bit of a habit to find items in the refrigerator that have nothing to do with its use, such as eyeglasses, underwear picked up from the clothesline, or shoes that I'm later grateful for because they're nice and cool when I put them on.

Seeing my dad search feverishly for the eyeglasses he's wearing, or the wallet he's "just put back" only to find in the bathroom or some other unusual place in the house, is a common occurrence and ends up being a source of laughter and self-mockery for my father.

For a long time I believed that the goblins in my house had the power to use black holes, which would swallow objects that fell to the ground immediately, since some never appeared. It's still a mystery where my favorite toy went when it fell in the dining room and never appeared. Not to mention the countless electronic parts that fall to the floor while my dad is working and never appear. I suppose one day finding those goblins' treasure chests would be a wonderful experience, as it would evoke memories of every lost and found item there, like a time capsule.

The awkward part comes when I should remember someone's name and can't. This has caused me quite a few inconveniences, especially when I was studying and had to write down the names of important historical figures or artists who set standards in art history on tests. That's when the stress of not remembering names or dates would come up, which also elude me. I still struggle a lot with this. When I teach classes or give lectures, I always have to have something written on hand to help me remember names and dates.

It also happens to me quite often that I have to repeatedly ask for the names of people I interact with or people who talk to me about because I'm always confused about their names. This has even happened to me with some guys I start a relationship with, and I have to constantly revise the name because I can't remember it.

And of course, dates...a mess. I know a few, my birthday, my parents' birthday, and the birthdays of a few friends, just that.

My memory works in strange and selective ways, so I've had to get into the habit of doing things in the moment. This has been very helpful in work matters because I end up being "an efficiently prepared worker who does everything quickly and on time." What they don't know is that if I leave the work to be done to my memory, they run the risk of it not being done.
The sad part comes when a friend sends me a message that I quickly check and leave the response for a time when I can pay more attention to it and dedicate the time it deserves, but it usually ends up in the bag of forgetfulness of that goblin that chases me, taking pieces of my memory every chance it gets.
