Sounds like they just need to peg it to inflation +, as bank mortgage lending rates are tied to federal interest rates.

It's all well and good saying the market self-corrects but we have a long history of seeing that is not the case.

People leaning in favour of landlords forget that it is not landlords who fix their toilets, catch the vermin, take the trash.

Kind of similar to "but but we are job creators" ... as someone who has hired hundreds of people, I have never once hired someone just because they needed a job.

We need both supply and demand, and right now it is hard to find a place with enough available jobs where those jobs will pay for housing. I am super fortunate that if all else fails I can employ my daughter, most parents can't.
