Most of the time, I go there for the exact same reason. I also don't want to a gamble with taste and Starbucks offer the most consistent taste all over its branches, at least in Indonesia and around SEA.

It's definitely a cycle. As the time goes, there will be more brands and companies create even more luxury coffee and experience. As Starbucks is more accessible, that stops screaming as "luxury".
